After amassing worldwide box office takings of over $1 billion, the live action adaptation of Disney's Beauty and the Beast will tour England and Scotland with a full orchestra next year.

Directed by Bill Condon and based on the 1991 animated film, Beauty and the Beast stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as LeFou, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth and Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts.

Presented on a giant screen, the orchestra will perform the much-loved score by eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. The film features all-time favourite songs including "Be Our Guest", "Something There" and the title song, as well as three new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.

Tickets for the concerts, which begin at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Valentine's Day next year, go on sale from 13 September.

Disney in Concert: Beauty and the Beast opens at the Royal Festival Hall in London on 14 February 2018 and tours to Bristol Colston Hall (21 March), Manchester Bridgewater Hall (23 March), Edinburgh Usher Hall (25 March), York Barbican (6 April), Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (7 April), Birmingham Symphony Hall (8 April) and Liverpool Philharmonic Hall (9 April).
