The production launches in Cheltenham in January
David Suchet is set to return to theatres across the UK with his solo show Poirot and More, A Retrospective next year.
The piece sees Suchet interviewed on stage by journalist, broadcaster, biographer and co-author of Poirot and Me, Geoffrey Wansell, about his many roles in his five-decade-spanning career.
Suchet commented: “I am utterly delighted to be taking this show back on the road after such a warm and wonderful reception to its first UK outing and West End run. Regional theatre is where my career began and was nurtured so I’m very much looking forward to sharing my stories, memories and favourite moments across the country again and visiting a number of new towns and cities that we couldn’t reach post-lockdown when theatres were still closed, particularly in Scotland and Ireland.”
Co-created by Suchet and Liza McLean and presented by McLean, Andrew Kay and Jonathan Church Theatre Productions, the tour launches at Cheltenham Everyman Theatre (18 to 20 January 2024), before heading to Churchill Theatre, Bromley (21 January), Festival Theatre, Edinburgh (26 January), Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin (28 January), Hall for Cornwall, Truro (8 February), Palace Theatre, Southend (17 February), Theatre Royal, Newcastle (18 February), Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow (19 February), Rose Theatre, Kingston (26 to 27 February), Eden Court, Inverness (28 February) and Wales Millenium Centre, Cardiff (10 March), with additional venues still to be announced.
