David Haig to star in UK tour of his wartime thriller Pressure

David Haig will lead the cast of the revival of his wartime thriller play Pressure, which tours the UK from February 2018 before a run at London's Park Theatre from 28 March.

Haig, a five-time Olivier Award nominee, winning for his role in Our Country's Good, will reprise his role as Scottish meteorologist Irving P Krick, the man responsible for predicting the weather ahead of the D Day landings. Haig was recently seen onstage in the Old Vic production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, where reviewer Sarah Crompton applauded his charismatic turn.

The show first debuted in 2014 at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh, before transferring to the Chichester Festival Theatre.

Haig is joined by award-winning actor Malcolm Sinclair, reprising his role as General Eisenhower, and Laura Rogers (An Ideal Husband) as Kay Summersby. Alongside them will be Philip Cairns, Alister Cameron, Robert Heard, Mark Jax, Michael Mackenzie, William Mannering and Bert Seymour.

The show, once again directed by John Dove, was applauded when it first opened in our review for being 'a story that's often forgotten'.

Pressure will open at the Cambridge Arts Theatre before touring to King's Theatre, Edinburgh, Theatre Royal Newcastle, Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford, Everyman Theatre Cheltenham, Theatre Royal Bath and Richmond Theatre, Richmond, before a run at London's Park Theatre from 28 March to 28 April.
