Actors including Bertie Carvel, Helen McCrory and Natascha McElhone were out at the first night of The Caretaker at the Old Vic. The cast – Timothy Spall, George MacKay and Daniel Mays – all celebrated with the Old Vic artistic director Matthew Warchus and chief executive Sally Greene.
The Caretaker is a revival of Harold Pinter's 1960 work, which is set in the attic of a house belonging to two brothers where a tramp called Davies has been allowed to live.
