A feline phenomenon will be aiming to help Liverpool audiences create a "Memory" they will not forget next month.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's magical musical CATS is making its way to the Liverpool Empire Theatre – telling the story of an array of Jellicle cats and their benevolent leader Old Deuteronomy.

Based on T.S Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, the direction and choreography for the latest tour has been re-created by Chrissie Cartwright.

It features all the favourites numbers that have been entertaining crowds since May 1981, and boasts a spectacular set design, extraordinary costumes and stunning choreography.

The winner of seven Tony Awards, CATS has featured some of this country's most famous stage performers including Elaine Paige (‘Grizabella'), Wayne Sleep (‘Mungojerrie'), Bonnie Langford (‘Rumpleteazer').

It will run from 26 November to 7 December.
