To celebrate Shakespeare’s 450th birthday, this production promises to take you on a journey through gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, pride, lust and envy.

Vocal harmonies and stage combat are woven through the action as moments from less performed plays and sonnets encounter scenes from classic works Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth.

Wyllie Longmore said: "Within Shakespeare’s works, you can find each of the deadly sins in their ultimate form".

The production reunites playwright Conor McKee with director Wyllie Longmore following their collaboration on Macbeth in 2012 and 2013.

Movement and stage combat is choreographed by Kenan Ali and the music is composed by Carol Donaldson. Actor Cathy Shiel returns to the company following turns in Thrasher and Macbeth.

Shakespeare's Deadly Sins tours to the following venues:

1 – 3 October – Oldham Library

8 October – Bury Met

9 October – Mill at the Pier, Wigan

11 October – Carriageworks Upstairs, Leeds

15 – 16 October – The New Continental, Preston

19 October – Square Chapel Theatre, Halifax
