Colin Morgan will appear in Gloria at the Hampstead Theatre when it opens next month.

The Merlin actor will appear alongside Ellie Kendrick (Misfits) in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ new play about a New York magazine where the writers are constantly looking for ways to make their way up the hierarchy at the publication.

Michael Longhurst directs the cast which also includes Kae Alexander, Sian Clifford, Bayo Gbadamosi and Bo Poraj.

Morgan's previous stage credits include appearing alongside Rupert Grint and Ben Whishaw in Mojo at the Harold Pinter Theatre in 2013.

Kendrick made her stage debut as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare's Globe in 2010, and has also appeared in Games of Thrones and Upstairs Downstairs.

The production will be designed by Lizzie Clachan with lighting by Oliver Fenwick and sound from Ben and Max Ringham.

Gloria runs at the Hampstead Theatre from 21 June to 22 July, with previews from 15 June.
