The show runs at Riverside Studios

Casting has been announced for the immersive adaptation of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Co-created by Arvind Ethan David, a protégé of Douglas Adams, the production invites audiences to journey through a series of interconnected spaces within Riverside Studios. Moving from a pub to spaceships and alien worlds, participants follow Arthur Dent, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Fenchurch and Marvin the Paranoid Android as they escape Earth’s destruction and explore the mysteries of the universe.
The experience combines pre-recorded celebrity voices with a live cast. Sanjeev Bhaskar voices Prostetnic Vogon Jeltz, Lenora Crichlow voices Tricia McMillian (Trillian), Samira Ahmed appears as a newsreader, and Tamsin Greig voices The Guide.
The live company features Benjamin Durham (101 Dalmatians) and Robert Thompson (Unforgivable) as Arthur Dent, Oliver Britten (Down Cemetery Road) and Matt Colyer (Phantom Peak) as Ford Prefect, Kat Johns-Burke (Peaky Blinders: The Rise) as Fenchurch, Andrew Evans (The Polar Express) as Marvin the Paranoid Android, Lee VG (Only Fools and Horses: The Musical, Theatre Royal Haymarket) as Zaphod Beeblebrox, Richard Costello (Death of England) as Slartibartfast, Angelis Hunt (Tina) and Aya Elmansouri (Cinderella) as Humma Kavula, Briony Scarlett as Eccentrica Gallumbits, and Tom Bowen as Wowbagger, with Alex Anthony Fevrier (Jesus Christ Superstar) and Tamara Saffir (Grease, Secret Cinema).
The team includes writer and producer Arvind Ethan David, stage designer Jason Ardizzone-West, choreographer Anjali Mehra, co-directors Simon Evans, Georgia Clarke-Day and David Frias-Robles, costume designer Susan Kulkarni, lighting designer Aiden Bromley, sound designer and composer Ed Lewis, video designer Leo Flint, puppet designer Charlie Tymms, casting director Anne Vosser, producer Tamar Climan, producers Prodigal Entertainment, and co-producers Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw and Concord Theatricals.
David said: “I first met Douglas when I was 18 years old, and he changed my life by inviting me into his orbit. Thirty years later, it’s a singular honour to bring his masterwork, absurd and profound in equal measure, to new audiences.”
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy runs at Riverside Studios from 15 November 2025 to 15 February 2026. Tickets are on sale now from £42.
