Casting has been announced for Arthur Miller’s Broken Glass at the Young Vic.

Jordan Fein directs the revival, returning to the venue after co-directing Oklahoma!. Fein will also open Into the Woods at The Bridge next month.

Tony nominee Eli Gelb plays Phillip Gellburg, while Pearl Chanda takes the role of Sylvia Gellburg.

Juliet Cowan (Am I Being Unreasonable?) joins as Harriet, while Alex Waldmann (Andor) plays Dr Harry Hyman. Further casting is to be announced.

The production runs from 21 February to 18 April 2026, with opening night on 3 March, and forms part of Nadia Fall’s inaugural season as artistic director.

Broken Glass premiered in 1994 and won the Olivier Award for Play of the Year. This marks its first major London production in 15 years. Set in Brooklyn in 1938, the play follows Sylvia Gellburg, whose growing obsession with reports of violence against Jewish communities in Germany leads to a sudden paralysis, straining her marriage and drawing her closer to Dr Hyman.

The creative team includes Fein (director), Rosanna Vize (set design), Sussie Juhlin-Wallén (costume design), Adam Silverman (lighting design), Tom Gibbons (sound design), Kayla Lomas-Kirton (movement direction), Julia Horan (casting), Caitlin Stegemoller (voice and dialect coaching), Lucy Martin (costume supervision), Laura Flowers (prop supervision), Alessandra Davison (Jerwood assistant director) and Afsana Begum (Genesis assistant designer).
