Cast announced for Scarlet at Southwark Playhouse

Heida Reed, who plays Elizabeth in the BBC's new series Poldark, will star alongside Lucy Kilpatrick, Jade Ogugua and Asha Reid in Scarlet at Southwark Playhouse next month.

The new play, by Sam H Freeman, centres on the fall-out when a video of a girl being sexually abused goes viral.

Directed by Joe Hufton, the production features original music by Benji Huntrods and Ed Burgon.

Producers Theatre Renegade are working with The White Ribbon Campaign, who are working to end men's violence against women.

Scarlet runs in the Southwark Playhouse's Little space from 15 April to 9 May 2015.
