Cast announced for Mass stage adaptation at Donmar Warehouse

Casting has been announced for Mass, Fran Kranz’s new play opening as part of the Donmar Warehouse 2026 season.

Kranz’s debut play is based on his 2021 film of the same name, following a set of grieving parents who meet to discuss a tragedy involving their sons.

The cast includes Adeel Akhtar, Amari Bacchus, Monica Dolan, Paul Hilton, Lyndsey Marshal, Rochelle Rose and Susie Trayling.

The creative team is completed by set and costume designer Anna Yates, lighting designer Guy Hoare, sound designer Donato Wharton, composer Stuart Earl and casting director Lotte Hines.

The original film, with Martha Plimpton, Ann Dowd and Jason Isaacs, premiered at the 2021 Sundance Festival and won widespread acclaim.
