Carrie Hope Fletcher: Michael Ball scared me with ghost stories during Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

The UK tour of Andrew Lippa's musical The Addams Family has arrived in London, so we popped down to the New Wimbledon Theatre to catch up with some of the cast members on opening night.

Given all the ghostly goings-on onstage, we asked Carrie Hope Fletcher, Samantha Womack and others what was the scariest thing to happen to them.

Directed by Matthew White, the musical follows Wednesday Addams (Fletcher), who's now all grown up and has fallen for the 'normal' Lucas (Oliver Ormson). The Addams family host a dinner for her "normal" boyfriend and his parents, which proves to change everything.

With music and lyrics by Lippa (Big Fish, The Wild Party), the cast also features Womack as Morticia and Cameron Blakely as Gomez.

The Addams Family runs at the New Wimbledon Theatre until 20 May before touring the UK.
