The Bush Theatre has announced casting and creative team details for the return of Tender, which will run in the Holloway Theatre from 9 July to 1 August, following a sold-out run in the venue’s studio space in 2024.

Presented by Jessie Annand Productions in association with Broccoli Arts and the Bush Theatre, the production reunites the original creative team and is directed by Emily Aboud.

The cast will feature Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards winner Francesca Amewudah-Rivers as Ash and Nadi Kemp-Sayfi (Sherlock Holmes) as Ivy. Written by Eleanor Tindall, the play follows Ivy, whose settled life is disrupted by unresolved feelings from her past, and Ash, who arrives in a new flat while recovering from a difficult relationship.

The creative team includes set and costume designer Alys Whitehead, lighting designer David Doyle, sound designer Ellie Isherwood, intimacy director Tommy Ross-Williams, production manager Titch Gosling and company stage manager on book Nikita Bala.

A relaxed performance is scheduled for 22 July at 7.30pm, a captioned performance for 25 July at 7.30pm, and an audio described performance for 29 July at 7.30pm. Press night will take place on 13 July at 7pm.
