Robert Schenkkan’s piece had its UK premiere on Friday
Bryan Cranston and Juliet Stevenson were among the guests at the opening night of the Park Theatre's production of Building the Wall.
Directed by the venue's artistic director Jez Bond, the piece, which was penned by playwright Robert Schenkkan on the eve of the 2016 US election, is set in a single cell where a prisoner is being interviewed about an unspeakable crime.
Angelia Griffin and Trevor White star in the show, which was described in the WhatsOnStage review as "a reflection on the interaction between the state and the individual, the private and public spheres, and the real extent to which people, relatable, empathetic people can go when under duress."
Other attendees on the night included Blake Harrison (who will be appearing at the Park Theatre this autumn) and Emmerdales's Nicola Stephenson.
