Birmingham Royal Ballet has announced its 2010/11 season at the city’s Hippodrome theatre, which includes a new production of Cinderella by company director David Bintley.

The six-programme, family-pleasing season begins in September with a triple bill featuring Kenneth MacMillan’s Concerto, John Cranko’s The Lady and the Fool, and Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room. Next comes Kenneth MacMillan’s renowned version of Romeo and Juliet, and then David Bintely’s new production of Cinderella.

In early 2011, the company performs Frederick Ashton’s hugely popular La Fille mal gardée followed by Sir Peter Wright’s production of Coppélia. A double bill of short works by David Bintley completes the 2010/11 season at the Hippodrome. BRB also tours throughout the 2010/11 season.
