The Broadway import is also up for Best Musical in the main awards, announced on Sunday

The Book of Mormon has been crowned London’s best night out as part of the 59th London Evening Standard Theatre Awards.

The production was chosen by readers in an online poll, ahead of the announcement of the main awards on Sunday (17 November).

The Book of Mormon, which beat competition including Once, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Bodyguard, is also up for Best Musical on Sunday.
