Blood Brothers adds tour dates into 2027

The ongoing tour of Blood Brothers have locked in dates right the way through to February 2027.

The show tells the story of twins separated at birth, who grow up on the opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with tragic consequences. The musical features such standards as “A Bright New Day”, ”Marilyn Monroe” and “Tell Me It’s Not True”.

The show is directed by Bob Tomson and the late Bill Kenwright, while the creative team includes resident director Tim Churchill, musical supervisor Matt Malone, sound designer Dan Samson, set and costume designer Andy Walmsley and lighting designer Nick Richings.

For the spring dates, Vivienne Carlyle plays Mrs Johnstone, having played the character in the show’s West End production. In addition, Sean Jones and Joe Sleight are Mickey and Eddie, with Gemma Brodrick playing Linda. For the shows in Derry and Dublin from this week, Rebecca Storm will play Mrs Johnstone. Laura Harrison returns to the show, having previously played Donna Marie in 2015, now taking on the role of Mrs Lyons. Richard Munday and Kristofer Harding share the role of the Narrator.

Also reprising their roles are Michael Gillett (Sammy), Tim Churchill (Mr Lyons), Francesca Benton-Stace (Donna Marie/Miss Jones), Latesha Karisa (Brenda), Danny Knott (Perkins), Dominic Gore (Neighbour), Alex Harland (Policeman/Teacher) and Graeme Kinniburgh (Postman/Bus Conductor).

This week, the show will visit Derry Millennium Forum (17 to 21 February), before carrying on to Dublin Bord Gàis Energy Theatre (24 February to 7 March), Sunderland Empire Theatre (17 to 21 March), Wellingborough Castle Theatre (24 to 28 March), Hull New Theatre (31 March to 4 April), Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre (14 to 18 April), High Wycombe’s Wycombe Swan (21 to 25 April), Bradford Alhambra Theatre (28 April to 2 May), Hertford Beam (5 to 9 May), London’s Richmond Theatre (12 to 16 May), and Lichfield Garrick Theatre (19 to 23 May).

The autumn 2026 tour will open in Cambridge at The Arts Theatre (15 to 19 September), followed by Oxford Playhouse (22 to 26 September). The production will then visit Chelmsford Theatre (29 September to 3 October) and Grimsby Auditorium (6 to 10 October), before continuing to Storyhouse Theatre in Chester (13 to 17 October) and Birmingham Hippodrome (20 to 24 October). The tour resumes in November with performances at The Hawth in Crawley (10 to 14 November), Malvern Theatre (17 to 21 November) and Royal & Derngate in Northampton (24 to 28 November).

The spring 2027 tour will begin at Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre (19 to 23 January), followed by the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton (9 to 13 February) and concluding at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff (16 to 20 February).
