Birmingham Rep has announced a series of productions for 2026.
Peter Pan will run in the main space from 18 November 2026 to 17 January 2027. Adapted by Phil Porter with music by Ruth Chan and directed by Joe Murphy, the production brings J M Barrie’s story to the stage. For younger audiences, The Ugly Duckling by Katherine Chandler, directed by Caroline Wilkes, will play in The Door from 3 December 2026 to 10 January 2027.
As already revealed, the Rep will present a new staging of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time in co-production with Melting Pot from 5 to 19 September 2026. Balletboyz return on 16 June with Still Pointless, marking the company’s 25th anniversary.
The Studio will host spoken word event Jawdance on 13 March, followed by UniSlam semi-finals and final on 15 March. Tribhangi Dance Theatre brings Ubuntu on 28 March. The Rep Rising festival runs from 1 to 18 July, featuring The Red Shoes, Jane Eyre, Antigone and 1984 performed by Young Rep companies. Boundless Theatre’s Blue Mist follows from 22 to 25 July.
The Door will stage Search for The Second Star on 24 January, Meet Fred on 4 and 5 March, Clementine on 15 and 16 May, and Joe Tracini’s 10 Things I Hate About Me on 22 and 23 May. Thunder Road Theatre’s The Void will run on 27 and 28 October.
