The West End will finally get a taste of Beetlejuice next May – with further details now confirmed.

Based on Tim Burton’s macabre 1988 film, Beetlejuice is about a young woman who summons a mischievous ghost after meeting the recently deceased couple who previously inhabited her big, creepy house. Beetlejuice earned several Tony nominations, including Best Musical.

The show will open at the Prince Edward Theatre, following the closure of MJ. Its limited London season will come on the heels of a third Broadway spell, which has just commenced.

Beetlejuice is directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, with an original score by Tony Award nominee Eddie Perfect, a book by Tony Award nominee Scott Brown and Tony nominee Anthony King, music supervision, orchestrations, and incidental music by Kris Kukul, and choreography by Connor Gallagher.

It features scenic design by three-time Tony Award nominee David Korins, costume design by six-time Tony Award winner William Ivey Long, lighting design by Tony Award winner Kenneth Posner, sound design by Tony Award winner Peter Hylenski, projection design by Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner Peter Nigrini, puppet design by Drama Desk Award winner Michael Curry, special effects design by Jeremy Chernick, illusions by Michael Weber, hair and wig design by Drama Desk Award nominee Charles G LaPointe, make-up design by Joe Dulude II, and physical movement coordinator Lorenzo Pisoni.

It was revealed today that performances in the West End will begin on 20 May 2026, with tickets on general sale from 30 October 2025. A fan pre-sale will take place from 28 October.

Evening performances from 20 May will take place on Mondays through to Saturdays, while there are matinees on Friday and Saturday at 3pm. Tickets will be available from £20.

Casting for the show will be announced at a later date.

The musical is produced in the UK by Crossroads Live and Warner Bros Theatre Ventures.
