Bank of Dave musical announces full cast ahead of world premiere

New musical Bank of Dave has revealed full casting and creative team.

Written by WhatsOnStage Award winner Rob Madge, with music by Pippa Cleary (The Great British Bake Off Musical), and lyrics by the duo, it is based on the real-life story of self-made Burnley businessman Dave Fishwick.

Based on the BAFTA Award-winning documentary, best-selling book, and hit film, with a screenplay by Piers Ashworth, the new musical is set to be directed by Curve’s artistic director, Nikolai Foster.

Bank of Dave will have its world premiere at the Lowry from 2 to 16 May 2026 before moving to Curve from 20 to 30 May 2026.

Playing the lead role of Dave will be Sam Lupton.

He joins already confirmed cast members Hayley Tamaddon, who will play Nicky, with Lucca Chadwick-Patel as Hugh, Claire Moore as Maureen and Lauryn Redding as Alex. Samuel Holmes will play Sir Charles Denbigh.

Also in the cast are Zachary Willis as Danny / Andy, Mark Peachey as Cher / Clarence, Joni Ayton-Kent as Megan/Mary, Adam Colbeck-Dunn as Marco, Hannah Nuttall as Mavis, Rosie Strobel as Barbara, Minal Patel as Ali, Elliot Broadfoot as Omari, Althea Burey as Betty and Jhanaica Van Mook as Claire.

Bank of Dave will have choreography by Ebony Molina, set and costume design by Amy Jane Cook, musical supervision by Toby Higgins, orchestrations by Tom Curran, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, sound design by Tom Marshall, video design by Duncan McLean, casting by Harry Blumenau, associate direction by Ollie Khurshid and James Robert Moore, associate choreography by Dale White, musical direction by Matthew Jackson and production management by Chris Easton.

The musical is produced by ROYO, Future Artists Entertainment, Curve and Lowry. Katie Lander is the consultant for Finestripe Productions.
