The ”Britain’s Got Talent” judge will return to the stage in a production directed by Maria Friedman
Amanda Holden is among the cast in a revival of Stepping Out, which will embark on a short UK tour before opening in the West End.
Holden, most recently known for This Morning and Britain's Got Talent, has theatre credits including Shrek the Musical (original West End production) and Thoroughly Modern Millie for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.
Holden will be joined by Angela Griffin (Waterloo Road, One Man, Two Guvnors) and Nicola Stephenson (Waterloo Road, War Horse). Further casting is yet to be announced.
Directed by Maria Friedman, Richard Harris' 1984 play follows a group of women and a man who attend a dance class in a North London church hall.
The production will run at the Theatre Royal Bath from 12 to 22 October, after which it transfers to Richmond Theatre and Cambridge Arts Theatre. West End and further tour dates are yet to be announced.
