The spooky binaural thriller has been a smash hit with audiences and critics

Jamie Armitage’s A Ghost In Your Ear has extended its Hampstead Theatre run.
The play is written and directed by Armitage, in collaboration with Ben and Max Ringham. It features George Blagden and Jonathan Livingstone in the cast, with design by Anisha Fields and sound by Ben and Max Ringham.
A Ghost In Your Ear uses binaural sound technology, with audiences wearing headphones throughout. The story follows an actor arriving at a sound studio for an audiobook recording of a ghost story, which begins to blur the line between fiction and reality. It picked up a glowing review from WhatsOnStage, being described as “a very clever spin on an otherwise classic structure.”
The thriller will now continue its run until 14 February 2026. The production opened on 6 December and has seen strong audience demand since its premiere.
Armitage said today: “I’m thrilled that this extension means even more audiences can come along and be delightfully terrified by A Ghost In Your Ear. Feeling the extraordinary tension in the room at every performance is very special, and to know that even more people can now experience this and watch our astonishing actors in action makes me happy beyond words.”
