A new touring production of 9 to 5 the Musical is set to open at Peterborough New Theatre on 4 July 2026.

Based on the 1980 film of the same name, 9 to 5 the Musical features music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and tells the story of three office workers who decide to take revenge on their overbearing boss.

The show will then visit Queen’s Theatre Barnstaple, Blackpool Grand, Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford and Darlington Hippodrome.

Marking producer Landmark Theatres’ first in-house production to tour nationally, the musical is directed by Paul Jepson, with musical supervision by Mark Crossland and set and costume design by Amanda Stoodley.

Jepson, CEO and creative director at Landmark Theatres, said: “This tour is an incredibly exciting step for Landmark, demonstrating how far we’ve come as a producing organisation and our commitment to creating vibrant, inclusive theatre. We’re thrilled to bring 9 to 5 the Musical back to the stage in our biggest tour to date.”

He added: “We’re bringing together the very best cast and creative talent as we continue to nurture both regional and national theatre-making. Our goal is to develop high-quality, accessible theatre that entertains, inspires, and celebrates the joy of live performance.”

9 to 5 the Musical runs at Peterborough New Theatre from 4 to 11 July 2026, before touring to Barnstaple (14 to 18 July), Blackpool (21 to 25 July), Guildford (27 July to 1 August) and Darlington (4 to 8 August).

Cast and further creative team members are to be revealed.
