Les Miserables celebrated its 30th birthday last night with a one-off gala in aid of Save the Children which featured stars from across the show's history.
WhatsOnStage headed down to see the show and talk to some of its main figures, which included author Alain Boublil, Patti LuPone – the original Fantine – new stars Carrie Hope Fletcher (current Eponine), Rob Houchen (current Marius) and Rachelle Ann Go (current Fantine).
Boublil said it had been an "Amazing evening, moving, overwhelming". Legend LuPone said she loved "Hearing the music again and seeing the original cast members and hanging out with Cameron [Mackintosh]."
The show opened 30 years ago yesterday in London at the Barbican Theatre.
