Tom Hollander: Travesties is a mix of intellectual subject matter and stupid jokes

Tom Stoppard’s play has transferred from the Menier to the West End

Following their opening night at the Apollo Theatre in London, we caught up with the cast of Travesties.

Tom Hollander reprises his role as Henry Carr, a minor British diplomat in Zurich in 1917, in Tom Stoppard's comedy which transfers to the West End following a run at the Menier Chocolate Factory last year.

Patrick Marber directs the piece, with a cast that also includes Freddie Fox (Tristan Tzara), Peter McDonald (James Joyce), Clare Foster (Cecily), Forbes Masson (Lenin), Amy Morgan (Gwendolen), Sarah Quist (Nadya) and Tim Wallers (Bennett).
