Daniel Radcliffe, Billie Piper and Andrew Garfield star in new NT Live line-up

Theatre lovers across the UK will be able to watch stars including Daniel Radcliffe, Billie Piper, Gemma Arterton and Andrew Garfield from the comfort of their local cinema this year, thanks to the latest announcement from NT Live.

The Donmar's Saint Joan – which features Arterton in the titular role – is being broadcast to cinemas nationwide on 16 February, followed by the Old Vic's production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead starring Radcliffe, Joshua Maguire and David Haig, on 20 April.

Part 1 of Angels in America, which has a cast including Garfield, Nathan Lane, Russell Tovey and Denise Gough, will be beamed to cinemas on 20 July, with Part 2 being shown on 27 July.

Piper revives her acclaimed performance in Yerma at the Young Vic this year, which will be broadcast on 31 August.

Other upcoming NT Lives include: Amadeus (2 February), Hedda Gabler (9 March), Twelfth Night (6 April), Peter Pan (10 June) and Salome (22 June).

Shakespeare fans will be able to watch Rory Kinnear and Anne-Marie Duff in Macbeth in 2018.
