Maggie Smith to appear in conversation at the Orange Tree

The actress will appear as part of the Orange Tree’s exclusive conversation series

Legendary actress Maggie Smith will appear in a one-off conversation event at the Orange Tree Theatre.

Gyles Brandreth will host the event, which is being run in order to raise money for the theatre's outreach work.

The 82 year-old Oscar-winning actress has apppeared on stage and screen in a career which has spanned over the last 60 years. She has starred in films such as The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Harry Potter, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and plays including Othello, Much Ado About Nothing and Private Lives.

The conversation will focus on people she has worked with, admired and learned from and takes place on 19 November at 3pm. Tickets are £100.

Smith's appearance follows the first conversation event which was with Judi Dench in June.
