Kerry Ellis (Wicked) and Ramin Karimloo (Phantom of the Opera), who will star opposite each other in Murder Ballad at the Arts Theatre in October, will lead a concert performance of Godspell at the Actors' Church next month.

The concert, which will run at the Covent Garden venue on 30 and 31 August, will be directed by Dean Johnson with musical direction from Michael Bradley and also features Bend It Like Beckham actress Preeya Kalidas.

They will be joined by an ensemble of young performers to launch The British Theatre Academy, whose production of The Secret Garden runs at the Ambassadors Theatre from 27 July.

Talking about the event, Ellis said: "It’s so great to have the opportunity to work with new talent who have passion for the arts, that’s exactly what the kids from the British Theatre Academy are all about."

Godspell runs at St Paul's Church, Covent Garden on 30 and 31 August 2016.
