John Partridge to star in new Cabaret tour

John Partridge will take on the role of the Emcee in the upcoming tour of Cabaret, it has been revealed.

Partridge, known for his roles in EastEnders, A Chorus Line and the upcoming The View Upstairs at Soho Theatre, will star in the show when it embarks on a new tour from 28 August. Further casting for the tour is to be announced.

The tour will open in Bromley before visiting Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Crawley, Chester, Dublin, Belfast, Leicester, Shrewsbury, Hull, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Malvern. More venues will be added in due course.

Kander and Ebb's iconic musical features songs including "Money Makes the World Go Round", "Two Ladies" and "Maybe This Time". Set in Germany in the 1930s, it charts the rise of fascism alongside the artistic outburst in Berlin.

Rufus Norris' staging of the show will feature choreography by Javier de Frutos.
