Grease star Olivia Newton-John has died aged 73

Actress and singing legend Olivia Newton-John has died aged 73.
The news was revealed on Instagram, where a message from her husband John Easterling read: "Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time.
"Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the ONJ Foundation.
"Olivia is survived by her husband John Easterling; daughter Chloe Lattanzi; sister Sarah Newton-John; brother Toby Newton-John; nieces and nephews Tottie, Fiona and Brett Goldsmith; Emerson, Charlie, Zac, Jeremy, Randall, and Pierz Newton-John; Jude Newton-Stock, Layla Lee; Kira and Tasha Edelstein; and Brin and Valerie Hall."
Newton-John played the role of Sandy in the revered Grease movie, with a plethora of TV and film credits following. She also had an internationally successful music career.
Update: the West End production has dedicated its run to Newton-John, saying in a statement: "Olivia Newton-John is an icon who has inspired countless young performers across the world, not least our company of Grease in the West End.
It is a huge honour to perform songs that she made world famous for thousands of fans, who continue to celebrate the legacy of this musical and her incredible talent.
Our thoughts are with Olivia's family and loved ones at this difficult time.
We'd like to dedicate this evening's performance and the rest of our run to Olivia's memory and everything she represented."
