Caroline, or Change confirmed to transfer to the West End

Michael Longhurst's production of Caroline, or Change will transfer into the West End, it has been confirmed.

The show, which is currently running at Hampstead Theatre, originally opened at Chichester Festival Theatre. It stars Sharon D Clarke, who will reprise her role for the West End.

Caroline, or Change will open at the Playhouse Theatre from 20 November to 9 February, with tickets available from 24 March. The show has garnered huge critical acclaim, with Sarah Crompton giving the show five stars when she reviewed the show at Hampstead earlier this month.

The musical is set in Louisiana in 1963, where a poorly paid maid Caroline works in the basement of the Gellman household and features song genres such as blues, soul, classical and more. Full casting for the show will be announced due course.
