Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker joined her husband Matthew Broderick last night to celebrate the opening night of The Starry Messenger so we caught up with her after the show to see what she thought.

Kenneth Lonergan's play follows the desensitised Mark Williams (Broderick), an astronomer at New York City's Planetarium.

Directed by Sam Yates, the cast also features Downton Abbey's Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Norton, Rosalind Eleazar, Jenny Galloway, Sinead Matthews, Joplin Sibtain and Sid Sagar.

The production has set and costume design by Chiara Stephenson and sound and music by Alex Baranowski, and runs at Wyndham's Theatre until 10 August 2019.
