Bat Out of Hell will extend its run in the West End at the Dominion Theatre.

The musical, which is currently in previews and has an official opening later this month, will now be booking through until 27 October, with the new round of tickets on sale from 19 April.

The piece's cast is led by Andrew Polec and Christina Bennington, joined by Rob Fowler, Sharon Sexton, Danielle Steers and Wayne Robinson.

The musical made its West End premiere last year at the Coliseum, in a limited run before transferring to Toronto. It includes classic songs such as "You Took The Words Right Out Of My Mouth", "Bat Out Of Hell", "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)" and "Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad".

In her review of the Coliseum run, critic Daisy Bowie-Sell said the show was "a night that will make your jaw drop, your heart soar and have you singing along."

Jim Steinman's musical, based on the music from the album of the same name, is directed by Jay Scheib, with choreography by Emma Portner, with musical supervision and additional arrangements by Michael Reed, set design by Jon Bausor, costume design by Jon Bausor and Meentje Nielsen, video design by Finn Ross, lighting design by Patrick Woodroffe (who won a WhatsOnStage Award for the show's original run), sound design by Gareth Owen, orchestration by Steve Sidwell, casting by David Grindrod CDG, fight direction by Stuart Boother and musical direction by Robert Emery.

Bat Out of Hell runs from 19 April to 27 October with previews from now.
