Callow Gets Festive with Theatregoers at A Christmas Carol Outing

Last night (Tuesday 13 December) saw 110
theatregoers made their way through an appropriately chilly London evening to A Christmas Carol at the Arts Theatre. Simon Callow holds the stage alone as
he takes us through the well loved Dickens classic, breathing new life into the
familiar tale.

Unnecessary as I’m sure it is, {A Christmas
Carol::L01466139952}
tells the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and how three spirits help him change
his miserly ways. Callow’s captivating performance reignites the humour of the original
tale, bringing each character to life with the help only of several chairs and
a moving screen.

And after the performance we got to meet
the man himself, accompanied by gloriously festive mince pies and mulled wine. He
happily signed programmes, had photos taken and chatted about his experiences
within the show and his rich theatrical history as a whole.

It was lovely to chat to so many of you personally and hear about your
Christmas plans; and I look forward to seeing you all at outings again next
year! Thanks to everyone that was able to join us last night and please do let
us know your thoughts on the production.

We hope to see you soon!
