American stars Ellen Burstyn and Carol Kane are reported to be in negotiations to star alongside Keira Knightley and Elisabeth
Moss in the forthcoming West End revival of Lillian Hellman’s The Children’s Hour, which opens at the Comedy Theatre in February. Burstyn, who won both a Tony Award and an Oscar in a single year (1975) is, according to the Daily Mail, in line to play Amelia Tilford, the wealthy grandmother of the schoolgirl whose lie about the two women (Knightley & Moss) running her boarding school has terrible consequences.
