Sian Phillips and Andrea Riseborough (seen earlier this year with Matthew Macfadyen in The Pain and the Itch at the Royal Court) are signed up to appear in French playwright Jean Anouilh's 1947 comedy Ring Around the Moon, tipped for a West End opening in the spring.

The play, translated by Christopher Fry, had its West End premiere at the Globe Theatre (now the Gielgud) in a production starring Paul Scofield, Claire Bloom and Margaret Rutherford. Set around a lavish ball at a chateau, the tale centres on twin brothers, an heiress who’s engaged to one twin but desperately in love with the other, and a ballet dancer embroiled in a plot hatched by the more calculating of the brothers. No word on who will play the twins. Sean Mathias will direct.
