Chenoweth Mooted for NT's Anything Goes???

By • West End
Kristin Chenoweth's name has been added to the casting hat for the NT's Christmas musical, Anything Goes. Previously, fellow Americans Susan Sarandon and Ally McBeal's Jane Krakowski have been mentioned as possibilities to play barmaid-turned evangelist Reno Sweeney. According to the NT website, Krakowski is definitely not appearing but Chenoweth is unconfirmed. The Broadway star made her London stage debut last month in a solo stint in this year's Divas at the Donmar cabaret season, for which she received strong reviews. Anything Goes, directed by Trevor Nunn, runs at the NT Olivier from 18 December 2002 to 8 February 2003 (previews from 11 December), before going into repertoire until the end of March.
