Casting announced for West End transfer of Wade’s Posh

Full casting has been announced for the West End transfer of Posh, Laura Wade’s Bullingdon Club satire that premiered at the Royal Court in 2010.

The production runs at the Duke of York’s from 23 May to 4 August (previews from 11 May), and will be followed by another recent Court hit, Jumpy, from 28 August to 4 November (previews from 16 August).

Posh, which premiered at the Court in 2010, explores themes of class, power, privilege and the influence of ‘old money’ via an elite student dining society at Oxford who are bunkering down for a wild night of debauchery and decadence.

Original cast members Tom Mison, Joshua McGuire, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Leo Bill, Simon Shepherd, Jolyon Coy, Charlotte Lucas, Richard Goulding and Steffan Rhodri are returning for the West End transfer.

They’ll be joined by: Pip Carter (The Cherry Orchard and Gethsemane, NT), Max Bennett (In Basildon, Royal Court), Harry Lister Smith (Hamlet, Sheffield Crucible), Edward Killingback and Jessica Ransom.

Posh, which played to 100% capacity at the Royal Court after opening in April 2010, is directed by Lyndsey Turner, designed by Anthony Ward, with lighting by Charles Balfour and sound by David McSeveney.
