More Miranda Line-up: Strallen, James-Ellis & Lee

Date: 25 May 2010

The winner of our Whatsonstage.com Miranda Sings competition - which has already received over 40 entries on our video site – will perform alongside Miranda at the Leicester Square Theatre on 3 June along with the likes of Leanne Jones, Julie Atherton, Scarlett Strallen, Jon Lee, Noel Sullivan and Ben James Ellis.

For the uninitiated, Miranda - in real life, creator and actor Colleen Ballinger – parodies the many YouTube singing wannabes with her woeful (yet compelling!) interpretations of popular songs.

With eyebrows that move entirely independently of each other, a crooked smile and a face bearing the remnants of a fight with the lipstick, Miranda has caused a sensation, fast building up a cult following.

Miranda Sings will perform at the Leicester Square Theatre on 27 May and 3 June. The line-up so far is:

27 May (10.45pm) - Anna Jane Casey (Chicago), Ian 'H' Watkins (Steps), Daniel Boys (Avenue Q), Nikki Davis Jones (Wicked standby Elphaba), Adrian Hansel (Hairspray), The West End Gospel Choir (Plus the Arts Ed Dancers and Mountview Ensemble Singers).

3 June (10.45pm) - Leanne Jones (Hairspray/Olivier Award Winner), Julie Atherton (Avenue Q), Scarlett Strallen (Mary Poppins), Jon Lee (S Club 7 / Les Mis), Noel Sullivan (Hear'Say / Grease), Ben James Ellis (Any Dream Will Do / Hairspray), Kieran Jae (Jersey Boys), Kerry Winter (Grease), Thriller Live Dancers, Duet - Whatsonstage.com comp winner / Miranda.

As part of our exclusive competition with the show producers, we’re inviting readers to demonstrate how well they can out-Miranda Miranda by sharing video clips of themselves murdering some of their own favourite show tunes in true Miranda fashion. Here's a sample of the entries so far:

The winner will be announced on Tuesday 1 June and must be available to attend – and perform! – at the 10.45pm performance at Leicester Square Theatre on Thursday 3 June. The duet will also be filmed for follow-up coverage on Whatsonstage.com.
