Perrier Award Nominees Announced in Edinburgh

Five stand-ups were shortlisted today for the main award in this year’s Perrier Comedy Awards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The nominees for the main award are:

  • Chris Addison, Civilisation at the Pleasance
  • Reginald D Hunter, A Mystery Wrapped in a Nigga at the Pleasance
  • Epitaph, She's Dead - Move On! at the Metro Gilded Balloon Teviot
  • Jackson's Way at the Smirnoff Underbelly
  • Sarah Kendall, Sarah Kendall Is Well Balanced at the Pleasance

    And the comedy acts nominated for the Perrier’s Best Newcomer Award are:

  • Alun Cochrane: My Favourite Words in My Best Stories at the Metro Gilded Balloon Teviot
  • Wil Hodgson, The Passion of The Hodgson at the Holyrood Tavern
  • Joanna Neary, Joanna Neary Is Not Feeling Herself at the Smirnoff Underbelly
  • Sabotage: In Fine Form at George Square Theatre.

    The winners will be announced in Edinburgh this Sunday 29 August. The Edinburgh Fringe, the world's largest arts festival and now in its 58th year, concludes on Monday 30 August 2004.
