It's obviously UKP (odd that they don't state that, though). They usually field one name with the rest made up of music theatre stalwarts and recent graduates. Quality and production values are variable.

Yes, when we were organising the rights for our amateur production of "Six Characters in Search of a Picnic" (on in two weeks' time at the Ashcroft Theatre, Fairfield Halls, Croydon! Featuring my 'umble self in a supporting role), Weinberger's said there was a professional tour coming up, and there was a relatively narrow window of availability for amateurs. I thought it might be a tour of the Chichester version, but it sounds like it's this UK Productions version. Not yet on the UKP website.
I wouldn't say a word that could be reckoned as injurious,
But to find a mother younger than her son is very curious,
And that's the kind of mother that is usually spurious.

Just followed the link and who do I spot in the botton left hand corner advertising Robin Hood.

None other than the divine Mr Barrowman!

Oh dear, last night I'd have thought that Ado Annie accidentally saying "Curley married the Peddler" instead of "Gertie married the Peddler" would have been the most eventful moment. But them Slim fainted/collapsed (I was about to say "that's a very realistic bit of acting, but do we really need it in this scene?"), and we had to call an ambulance. He seems to be all right now, but add that to another male ensemble member's heart attack in August, and we seem to be dropping like flies.

EDIT: I'd forgotten Ali Hakim's dislocated shoulder. "It was a good chip over mid off; how was I supposed to know he'd try and catch it?" said the previous show's leading lady's husband.

Uk Productions tour - Chris Hocking (Fiddler on the Roof, South Pacific) was the latest name in the mix to choreograph.

Um, a question on the show for anyone who has done it/seen it before: just how many items of clothing is it traditional for Curly to have removed for the Shivoree scene?

And I am delighted to there is a stage lighting gel colour called "Oklahoma yellow".

Well, I wish the tour next year the very best of luck. It's such a well-written show, and so many moments in it that really struck me, even after having already done our six performances.

I don't think there's a negative thought (and barely a minor key) in the first two numbers, establishing the image of a bucolic, rural pace of life. I loved the drama of Lonely Room, and I loved the music right at the end of Act 1 as Laurey wakes up from the dream, and realises that the decision she will be taking tonight will be a major one affecting the rest of her life, and won't just be any ordinary dance. The auction scene is brilliantly written too, going from the comedy of Will and Ali Hakim to the escalating drama between Jud and Curly. And very movingly (something that you won't see onstage), the stage direction in the script says that Larey wears her mother's wedding dress in act 2 scene 3 - I think that's the only mention I could spot of Laruey's parents.

But it was a lot of fun too. The cast made a lot of fun of my inability to say " 'twouldn't be proper" without sounding Irish. And during the chorus of "Oklahoma" the number, Laurey's bridesmaids kept on throwing rice at just when we had our mouths open on "and when we saaaaaaaay. Yeow, ay-yip-ay-oh-ee-yaaaaaaaaaay."
