I was there on Friday. I had no knowledge of the play but want to read it now. It may be short at just under an hour but it left me with questions and greater admiration on Matthew Marsh than I had before. It is Mr Marsh's play - he is on stage for the entire time and manages to deliver every line with a veracity that is compelling. Elizabeth McGovern may be the big name (and she has some wonderfully nuanced moments) but Matthew Marsh is the star here.
I'm off again on the 22nd to try a different seat as I want to experience the play from another point of view, expecially the first act which shows the quality of the acting as the actors remain seated throughout.
