Vertigo Theatre Productions, bring their new original production, Rage to Manchester in November, before taking the show to venues around the UK.
Rage is an original play written by
Craig Hepworth and
Adele Stanhope (writers of the recent hit play M) and focuses with the controversial subject or American Campus Shootings. The play tells the story of a group of college students, who 2 hours before were targeted by a fellow student on campus, as he went on a rampage through the halls of the college shooting his fellow classmates. With the campus on lockdown, several students are forced together in the same room, as they begin to try and process what just happened who is to blame?
With tempers flaring and emotions running high, the finger of blame points to everything from Americas gun culture, Mental Health, the Media, violence in entertainment, but most importantly, bullying and high school and college ‘cliques’ - realising how their own behaviour can affect others.
The play is a hard hitting, often heartbreaking look at how the survivors hold it together and what really is to blame.
Rage received 2 workshop productions in 2006 and 2007 and now comes to the stage with a talented young cast including many Vertigo regulars including
Emma Willcox,
Rick Carter,
Justin Lanata,
Dale Vicker,
Stuart Reeve,
Louise Allen and Hepworth and Stanhope. Also joining the cast are
