Saw Neil Sedaka in concert tonight and he announced, in his own words, some very exciting news - that a new musical would open in London nextyear called Laughter in the Rain telling the life story of the man himself. Does anyone else have any details on this.

New to me, but what great news!

I have been a fan of Neil Sedaka since the fifties and have many, many discs and tapes.
He has written some of the most popular songs of the last 50 years. Too many to mention all, but here are a few

That's where the music takes me
Breaking up is hard to do
Oh Carol
Calendar Girl
Happy birthday sweet sixteen
Laughter in the rain
Solitaire.
The two Neils (Sedaka and Diamond) were the mainstays of my pop favourites.
My Generation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, he was interviewed on the radio several months ago, and he spoke about this show. What was odd though was the fact that he intended it to be the subject of another TV reality show, with himself as one of the judges, to find a young actor to play him in it. Are you there Andrew Lloyd-Webber?

just seen it at bromley churchill theatre and the lead was excellent and so was the show very well put together as a story of his life with excellent musicians backing. such a breath of fresh air and made one feel happy coming out of teh show deserves to go a long way.

Just heard that Neil Sedaka loved the show so much that he's cancelled his flight home to the US tomorrow and is going to see the show again tomorrow (Saturday) and will treat the audience to a few songs during the finale onstage with the cast!!!
