Only tenuous links to do with theatre, but does anyone else remember this advert for Clarks shoes as vividly as I do?

For some reason my leading lady for the Edinburgh show mentioned it in the pub on Saturday night, and the eyes of three of us round the table all lit up, and we agreed that we all remembered it very clearly.

In fact, this evening in a rehearsal when one of the actors said "I can't" do something or other, I went and found myself saying "Yes you can, just trust your magic shoes" - and he looked at me completely blankly and didn't know what I was talking about!

Maybe it was the "Where are they now" thread in the performers' section, but I wonder where these people are now? Is the witch some well-known actress I don't recognise?
I wouldn't say a word that could be reckoned as injurious,
But to find a mother younger than her son is very curious,
And that's the kind of mother that is usually spurious.

I don't remember the advert, but I did own a pair of these shoes! They were my fav shoes when I was a kid, they came with a plastic gold key which when placed in the key hole in the inside of the shoe turned a dial in the heel revealing a hidden forest scene. God I loved those shoes!
