I have to say that I think that "Ghost" is potentially excellent source material for a musical. It depnds what they make of it, of course. The best potential story still doesn't necessarily make more than the proverbial pigs ear. But according to Baz, they have been workshopping it already and Laura Michelle Kelly is already attached!

Something is starting to sound hopeful to me!

I wonder when/where/if this will open. I love the film and think it could potentially make a good musical. Will just have to see.

The plan is for it to go in the Palace in the Sept/Oct.

I suppose the story shares some of its DNA with the second half of Carousel. No reason why the story can't be specifically done onstage.

I imagine people are going to complain if Unchained Melody isn't in it. And if LMK's hairstyle isn't like Demi Moore's.
I wouldn't say a word that could be reckoned as injurious,
But to find a mother younger than her son is very curious,
And that's the kind of mother that is usually spurious.

I'm so excited about this and I'm trying always to keep track on what Laura Michelle Kelly is currently up to. I think it's cool how Laura mostly contributes to new musical projects.

A very dear user contributed us with that in the Laura Michelle Kelly thread in the performers section: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/artic...-Deathtrap.html (you'll have to scroll down a little for the passage about Laura)

Everything sounds just awsome! I'm looking forward a lot to this film project as well! Seems / Sounds like she'll be officially back, soon. *yippie*

Quite frankly... I agree with you about the Ghost musical. I'm not a big fan of the movie anyway so I think I wouldn't be interested a bit if it wasn't for Laura. tongue.gif But on the other hand I hope that everything Laura's involved in will turn out good so I'm still excited and looking forward to it and I'll certainly keep my fingers crossed with you! wink.gif laugh.gif

As for that film project I think it sounds really cool. I hope it'll really be put into practice. And the best thing about it: Laura is going to get to sing there as well! *yay* So let's hope it'll turn out smashing. biggrin.gif I really wish her that both projects, the musical as well as the film, will!
