It has been reported that Bea Arthur, star of Golden Girls and several musicals, including the film Mame has died aged 86.

Golden Girls was a classic comedy and Bea was superb as Dorothy. RIP.
The engine roared, the motor hissed,
And who could see that the road would twist

I loved Golden Girls - a sad loss!
This is my street, I smile at the faces I've known all my life, They regard me with pride.

I too was saddened to hear this news.

I absolutely loved her in The Golden Girls.

Very sad she was a brilliant performer

“The staff are really exited too. Everyone’s giving me a little, doing a little that, when I walk past in the corridor, eyebrow raise thing, when usually they look away.”
