Okay, I literally cannot contain myself for when Hairspray finally comes to London. Opening night anyone? Anyway, I'm eager to see the cast they put together.. it's all very exciting!

Alison Jiear as Tracy (Yes i know, shes too old but hey we've seen rosie o'donnel and Brooke Shields in grease!)

could you imagine those two together on stage!

i know niether is nessec a musical theatre actress (don't shoot me down straight away tho), although presumably Imrie sang in "Acorn Antiques TM", but i always saw her as the English actress I'd most like to see as Mrs Pingleton (is she even in the musical? I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to the film, but almost a complete virgin as regards the musical), and Joanna Lumley as Amber's mum.

Although about 5 mins ago, Julia Davis (*blushes*, also not a WE performer, but did sing a starring role in the BBC 'rock opera' nativity "AD/BC") occurred to me as an interesting idea. Tho think she might be expecting twins this autumn...
