When we went Virgin in Times Square had some but also http://www.colonymusic.com/ on Broadway just off Times Square. Mainly a sheet music/cd store but lots of other stuff in there too.

A lot of the hotels have nice gift shops that are able to ship directly where needed.
Good luck from Betty

What's the weather like in the UK right now? We are thinking of making a trip to Scotland and are not quite sure when to go,

That is true regarding New York City Hotels and one in particular is The Marriott Marquis New York Hotel.
Good Luck

An almost exact equivalent is Theater Circle on W44th, next doot to the St. James (Gypsy).

Excellent. Just about all of the New York City Hotels have those kinds of shops located next door or adjacent to their property. There are plenty to be found!
Good Luck

I personally like One Shubert Alley. There's also a really nice shop under the Marriot Marquis Hotel that sells a load of Broadway merch, as well as books, scripts, songbooks, recorings, everything.

The Marriott Marquis Hotel one is really popular. Tourist note- its main floor has a great reception area to sit and eat and also has a nice info desk if you have any questions.

There is a pretty cool store opposite the Lunt-Fontanne theatre, can't remember what it's called though.

It's good for show t-shirts in particular.
