Did anyone else go to last night's Saturday 18 October Joseph - Lee Mead was off sick which was very disappointing - wondered what you thought of the replacement - I liked him a lot - shame about the wig though!

I thought Ricky Rojas was absolutely fantastic (although yeah, he does have a weird mullet type wig =D ). He must have been so nervous as there were so many Lee fans that had planned to go last night and there were parties and things going on- it was meant to be his last night so everyone booked and organised trains and hotels and some people had some party thing nearby, but then he extended to January. There were at least 300 people just from 1 fan group I think...but I thought it was great, the rest of the cast were excellent, and basically it was just brilliant! I've seen it a....few...time ( =P ) and it was definitely one of my favourites =)

I saw Ricky a few months back. Thought he was far better than Lee Mead and Lewis Bradley.

Yes we thought he looked really nervous at the beginning - we thought he would be apprehensive about doing the show knowing that lots of people were expecting Lee Mead. We've seen it a few times and like Lee Mead but thought Ricky has a much better voice and in the second half preferred his acting. Sorry for all L.M. fans who wanted to see him - we thought twice about exchanging tickets but the rest of the cast are fab - love all the brothers - so decided to just enjoy it which we did. Do you know if L.M. was off for the matinee as well?

Recently got cheap last minute tickets to Joseph while Lee Mead was on holiday and couldn't agree more about Ricky Rojas. Even better was the fact that there were no screaming Lee fans there! biggrin.gif

I saw the matinée as well (these tix were birthday presents from different people wink.gif ) and I think he knew he wouldn't be able to do the evening as well and went for it in the matinee and then went home. He apparently said to people that he felt ill and wouldn't have come to work if it wasn't for the fact he knew so many people were there.

I'd rate him about the same as Lee Mead, but certainly far better than Lewis Bradley.

He was on a couple of weeks ago when Lee Mead dropped out ten minutes into the show. Predictably, there was a group of Lee fans in the foyer in the interval complaining that their evening had been ruined and demanding a refund. Even more predictably, their evening wasn't so ruined that they weren't prepared to stay and watch the entire show.
In my opinion anyone interested in improving himself should not rule out becoming pure energy.
